I found 6 European brands making cotton summer dre I found 6 European brands making cotton summer dresses above 170€, all produced in Europe.

Before I look at any product in detail, I always check the brand first.
For dresses I pay attention to mainly four things: materials, construction, lining, and transparency on the product page. Construction you can only partially check online, so you would need to order the dress to examine the seams up close. Same goes for fit, that’s up to you and your personal preferences.

AGGI from Poland, made in their family-run atelier in Krakow with full vertical production. 100% cotton, embroidered. Zoja at 184€, Lena at 240€.

Bibi Studio from Germany, made in Germany with fabric from Spain. 100% GOTS organic cotton, one size that fits 34 to 42, with pockets. 199€.

Baukjen from the UK, made in Portugal with 100% organic cotton poplin. Tie-waist red midi. 220€.

Mrs Francoise from Italy, made in Italy. 100% Italian cotton and you can pick your own. Matching mother-and-child sets. La Mamma Apron at 340€.

Helene Galwas from Germany, made in a Polish workshop. Hand-laid pleats and hand-ripped seams. The Ina cotton wrap is 100% cotton at 503€.

Casa Nata from Germany, made in a family-owned workshop in Bavaria. 100% cotton batiste woven and dyed in Portugal. The Boatline dress at 430€.

Everyone says buy less but better. Nobody tells yo Everyone says buy less but better. Nobody tells you how.

Before I look at any dress, I check the brand first. 7 things, every time. Only brands based in Europe and producing entirely in Europe make it onto my list.

Then for dresses specifically: materials, construction, lining, and how much detail the brand actually shares on the product page. These four things tell me a bit more about what I’m paying for.

I’m starting a European summer dress series this week. Different price points, same checks. So you can see for yourself what your money gets you.

What matters most to you when buying a dress? Tell me in the comments.

I checked a lot of European sneaker brands. 28 bra I checked a lot of European sneaker brands. 28 brands passed my 7-step review process and are all very good choices 😊 Here are my top picks in five categories: sustainability, transparency, affordability, fit inclusivity, and craftsmanship. All made in Europe.

Brands featured: @earthbound.sneakers , @vaer_upcycled , @crownnorthampton , @goralfootwear , @novesta , @gtcipo , @caval_official , @botascz , @diverge.sneakers

This is my opinion, you might see it differently. Which European sneaker brand would you add? Tell me in the comments. Follow for daily European brands that actually produce in Europe.
The most expensive European men’s sneaker I checke The most expensive European men’s sneaker I checked costs 690€. The best one I found costs 330€. Both are leather, both stitched, both made in Europe.

I went through 21 European men’s sneaker brands and sorted the 13 worth knowing into four categories.

Retro: Novesta in Slovakia since 1939, from 69€. Plus MaTeS, Valsport, ekn, and Botas.

Built to last: lifetime guarantees and named tanneries. Goral in Sheffield 🇬🇧 with a £70 resole service. Plus Crown Northampton, Atheist, and Wayz.

No leather: Vaer is designed in Copenhagen and made in Portugal. Uppers from upcycled jeans, linings from old tablecloths. Plus Earthbound from Croatia.

Under 200€: Hirundo at 159€ lists more production detail than some 600€ brands. Plus Caval, GT Cipo, and Diverge.

If I had to spend my own money on one pair, it would be Goral. It’s the only brand on this list passing every quality check I run.

Save this for next time you are sneaker shopping. And tell me which type you are.
    I checked 3 European women’s sneakers over 300€. T I checked 3 European women’s sneakers over 300€. The price-to-transparency gap was wilder than I expected.

Crown Northampton from England. Made to order in their own factory in Northampton, where five generations of shoemakers have been working since 1908. You can actually visit the factory. Derby construction, sidewall stitched sole, resoleable in their own factory. Box calf leather from CF Stead in Leeds and the Italian tanneries, both named on the product page. Fully leather lined including the insole. 400€, and they tell you everything.

Aeyde from Germany. Handmade in family-run factories in Italy. The upper is 50% kid suede and 50% satin, the lining is
100% lamb leather (half-lined). The materials are premium. But at 395€, the product page does not name the construction method, the tannery, or the workshop. I love how the sneaker looks, but I want the rest of the story too.

Santoni from Italy. Granato tumbled leather, rubber sole, a decorative Sigillo stitch on the side. That is the entire product page. At 550€, you get less information than at almost any other price point I have looked at.

This wraps my three-part series on European sneakers for women. Next up, sneakers for men.
Save this for the next time you are considering luxury sneakers.
You’re about to spend 250€ on „handcrafted in Ital You’re about to spend 250€ on „handcrafted in Italy“ sneakers. That tells you nothing about how they’re built.
I checked 5 European women’s sneakers between 180€ and 280€. Four things on every pair: construction, materials, lining, and supply chain transparency.

@diverge.sneakers 🇵🇹 made in Portugal. LWG and OEKO-TEX certified calf leather, open cost breakdown on every model. The trade-off is a 100% polyester lining. 180€.

@bobbies 🇫🇷 made in Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal. Lamb leather upper from a Portuguese tannery, leather lining, Strobel construction. 200€.

@anonymous_copenhagen 🇩🇰 made in São João da Madeira, Portugal. Chrome-free natural leather lining and insole, custom natural latex sole. 225€.

@atheistshoes 🇩🇪 made in Porto, Portugal. Blake stitch construction means the shoe is resoleable. Portuguese nubuck upper, Dutch calfskin lining. 280€.

@scarosso 🇮🇹 made in Italy. White calfskin upper and lining, but the product page does not give you a lot of details like the construction method or the tannery. 245€.

The one I keep coming back to is Atheist. Blake stitch at 280€ means you can actually resole the shoe.

Save this for the next time you’re sneaker shopping, and tell me which of the four checks matters most to you.
