“For years, I watched friends come home with beautiful boots I could never wear. They looked perfect — until they reached my calf and refused to go any further. I'd leave every shop with flats or ankle boots. But I didn't want those. I wanted boots. My calves aren't strange. They're simply generous — or, as I like to say, important. And I wasn't the only one. So I asked a brand I loved to make a pair in my measurement. Impossible, they said, or absurdly expensive. That was the moment the idea sparked. I'd grown up near a thriving Italian footwear district. All the pieces of the puzzle were right there — I only had to put them together. After a year of research and finding the right artisans, Fillies and Boots was born.”
