Every Jewellery byMZ piece is made in a small studio in a village in the heart of Portugal, by a self-taught silversmith who does not keep large quantities in stock. Everyday pieces begin with pre-made wire shaped and soldered by hand; sandcast pieces are poured into a sand mould and every result is unique.

“In 2020, I came across silversmithing and thought, “Is this something I can learn?”, and that was the beginning of my journey as a self-taught silversmith. I started watching and studying how to create silver rings and learning other fascinating things about the craft, and I became obsessed. With time, knowledge, and experience, I finally found the courage to share my art with the world, hoping it will be enjoyed as much as I enjoy creating it. The name byMZ is a tribute to my grandmother, a resilient and strong woman. As a small handmade business, every piece is made by me in my little studio in a village in the heart of Portugal. I don’t keep large quantities in stock, and I believe that makes each piece more meaningful, creating a stronger connection between the maker and the wearer.”
