“We started NAE in Lisbon in 2008, around a simple belief: that beautiful, well-made shoes should never cost an animal its life. We're Paula and Alex — co-founders, partners in life, and parents to two daughters. Our roots run through Germany, Portugal and Barcelona, but we made Lisbon our home and built NAE around the craft Portuguese footwear is known for. The name says what we stand for: NAE — No Animal Exploitation. Not a slogan, but a line we've never crossed.”
